POO - Point Of Origin, a six-track concept album featuring pieces derived
from and inspired by sampled voice over material from John Ingram former host of NTNS Radio. The sampled material was
mangled and mutilated into new soundscapes which provided the backdrop for Mystahr's mad experimental noodling.
Encapsulating a breathtaking variety of sounds and styles, POO! delivers an eccentric listening experience like no other.
When I first heard about this project I was struck aghast by two things:
what a horrible concept it was and what a perverse man Mystahr must be attempt such a feat.
After hearing the result of the first track I was almost tempted to recant that opinion,
but the creepiness of the project won out. Now here we are with a finished product
and tempted as I may be to feel honored and priviledged to have provided the inspiration
for this wonderful collection of tracks, I cannot help but look over my shoulder while in public
and draw the shades at night, for fear that my stalker may still be watching me.
I hope that you enjoy this album because the pain that I endured during its creation have
rendered it horrible and frightening to my trembling ears.
